Went to the Nature Discovery Centre at Thatcham today. Didn’t see an awful lot, mostly fairly common birds. So I decided to take a few pictures of one of them, a juvenile Black-Headed Gull:
Went out for a long walk today from Aldermaston Wharf to the lakes (former gravel pits) at Woolhampton in some nice late Indian Summer sunshine. Went for a local walk in and around Aldermaston Wharf on a beautiful sunny and mild September afternoon. Stopped at a few Sunflowers neighbours had grown on the roadside. Beautiful bright yellow and orange under a blue sky.
On a beautiful sunny afternoon in August 2015 I went for a walk in West Berkshire, hoping to take a few nice pictures. Didn’t spot much for most of the walk, but at one point a beautiful Buzzard flew very low above me, allowing me to take these wonderful shots:
The exact location was at the corner of Admoor Lane and Webbs Lane, about a mile north east of the A4 between Theale and Aldermaston Wharf.
