Hi, it's just me.

It’s not a question of if, but only of when…

… there will be a breach and some ISPs data of this will be leaked, causing all kinds of embarrassment for a lot of people (including those of the “I’ve got nothing to hide” brigade).

I wonder if Teresa May will laugh it off then as in her response to Keith Vaz:

Noting Mrs May likened it to an itemised phone bill, the Labour MP said:

There is a lot of information in an itemised bill. If I was to look at her itemised telephone bill and she was to look at mine, she might be surprised at who were were phoning.”

“Speak for yourself”, someone could be heard shouting from the green benches – which Mrs May quipped was the “right response”.

PS: This is also a fairly comprehensive analysis of the surveillance bill draft announced today, including the risk of breaches

Comment Spam going nuts

Out of curiosity just looked at one of the spam comments I received in one of my blogs. Copied it into Notepad++ for an easier look. It contained approximately 500 (yes, five-hundred) URLs, there was no other content, just URLs. When I saved it as a simple txt file it was over 30kb in size.

This is nuts.

Don’t mention the, erm,… Macbeth

You started it…

Jonathan Pie is the next big thing?

I can’t remember how I came across him, but I first saw one of his videos a week or two ago. And was hooked. It seems his fame is spreading rapidly now, so you might want to check the Jonathan Pie YouTube Channel. His most famous video so far is probably this one (warning, some strong language if you have sensitive ears):

Long Tailed Tits. And a distant Peregrine Falcon.

Went on a walk around Hosehill Lake Nature Reserve near Theale today. Weather wasn’t as sunny as I had hoped, but it was still a nice autumn afternoon with the trees in good colour. There seemed to be a lot Long Tailed Tits around, so I tried to catch a few of them on picture. Not easy as they seem to be constantly on the move. Also spotted a Peregrine Falcon on a nearby electricity pylon. Unfortunately couldn’t get close enough before it flew away again. Hope you’ll enjoy some of the pictures I took:
